Jordan Brand athletic shoes, apparel and accessories are
designed by Nike for the now-retired basketball player, Michael Jordan. The brand
was first released to the public in 1985, following Jordan's personal wearing in
1984, with new designs released annually. Since inception, Jordan Brand has grown
immensely, and now holds the spot for all-time top-selling signature basketball
shoes. Jordan Brand currently releases modern and casual basketball shoes in
addition to retros, re-releases of the original model Air Jordans I-XXIII. Tinker
Hatfield, Nike shoe designer, is most often cited for his word for Jordan Brand, as he
designed Air Jordan III-XV, the Anniversary Air Jordan XX and the final numbered
Air Jordan XXIII.
