The Givenchy house was established in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy with the idea of refined elegance. In 2005, Riccardo Tisci was named Creative Director for the House. He has meshed de Givenchy's initial vision of refined elegance with his fashion forward, luxury streetwear designs. Today, many of the pieces in the collections mimic classic street styles, such as bomber jackets, sweaters and graphic tees, all juxtaposed with classic, iconic gowns, tailored pants and extravagant accessories.
